The Haircut

Jericho got a "big boy" haircut today. He was crying so much when I was trying to cut his hair the way I always do, so I chopped it all off to get the task over. He was not happy with it at first. (I thought he called it disgusting but he was really saying he was "dusty". Thus referring to all the hair that was on his shoulders.) At least he will be cooler. I also think he looks cute like his Daddy!

Swinging

Jericho has learned how to swing all by himself! Now every time he goes outside he is on the swing.

Nine Month Check-Up

Here are the stats from Ransom's nine month check-up:

Height-28" ~ 25%

Weight- 18lbs 9 oz ~ 25%

So, he's a little small for his age. At least he is growing. In other exciting news, he took a few steps on his own a few nights ago. Unfortunately, I was not there to see his first steps. He started walking in the nursery. When we came home, he would only take a couple steps for his Daddy. Now, he doesn't even want to stand up. I think he is afraid we will try to make him walk. Right now, it is so much faster for him to crawl.

Beach

We went to the beach for the first time since having Ransom. He loved the water soooo much! He crawled all the way from our spot on the sand to the waves. It was about 30 yards. He didn't seem to mind the waves at all. He definitely takes after his sister. Hero wanted to go out as far as she could. Jericho on the other hand, stayed close to shore. He was content to hop over the little waves.

Aunt Melanie took us blueberry picking for our first time. We had lots of fun plucking and sampling the sweet treats.

Funland

A trip to Hermiston would not be complete without a trip to Funland. This is the first time that we have been able to play at the water park. Hero was willing to get soaked, but Jericho wasn't keen on the idea.

Family Camping Trip

We had our first family camping trip in Mt Shasta, California. The kids enjoyed camping for the most part. Unfortunately on the first day, they discovered a yellow jacket nest while hiking with Daddy. Hero and Jericho were stung about 10 times each. Jericho seemed especially traumatized by the incident and would go into hysterics at the slightest touch for the rest of the evening. Thankfully both children seemed to be over the event the next day.
